Medical Design Concepts' standard client website has seven sections. Below is the layout and description of a standard MDC client website. Please note that the layout can be customized for your site, and additional information and pages can be added as requested.

Here are recent examples of client websites:

Home Page

  • Any logos or branding elements of the practice
  • Welcome message
  • Thumbnail description of the practice
  • Mission/philosophy statement
  • Recent news
  • Patient testimonials

About the Practice

This page contains key information commonly requested by patients about the practice. Please note that the list below is standard and can be modified for each site:

  • Hours of the practice
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Address
  • Contact information (phone, fax)
  • Policy regarding contact in emergencies
  • Roster of insurance plans accepted
  • Policy regarding coverage arrangements
  • Policy regarding payment
  • Prescriptions and renewals
  • Languages spoken

About the Staff

This page contains profiles of the clinicians—an excellent opportunity to highlight their credentials to current and prospective patients. Typically a separate page is built for each clinician, including standard information such as:

  • Name
  • Board certification
  • Education and training
  • Hospital affiliations
  • Clinical areas of interest
  • Membership in professional associations
  • Publications (links to publications can be added if needed)

Pictures of the clinicians and support staff can be displayed to add a personal touch, at the client’s option.

Patient Resource Center

This section provides valuable health information resources for patients. This is a value-added service provided by the practice and is customized to your patient population. Healthcare consumers increasingly want their healthcare providers to advise them on authoritative health information sources—the Patient Resource Center directly addresses this need.

This site section contains links to the websites of credible medical organizations, accompanied by a short description. Each Patient Resource Center is customized to your patient population.

We have reviewed hundreds of organizations in conjunction with clinicians to select the "best of the best" among sources of clinical information for each specialty. Clients can add or delete organizations from their list of resources.

Your First Visit

This section contains a checklist of information that patients should have with them on their first visit to the practice. The information answers common questions from first-time patients.

Location and Directions

This section provides a detailed map, plus directions to the practice.

Contact Us

Clients can choose an option for patients to e-mail the practice via a form—an efficient communication tool for questions and comments. The form instructs patients to use it for non-clinical questions only.

If the client does not want an e-mail option, the phone number for the practice will be listed, along with any other information about contacting the practice.

Our Process

The Medical Design Concepts process for developing client websites is straightforward:

  • MDC sends an easy-to-complete Content Collection Document to the client to collect all necessary information. This is completed by the client and returned to MDC, along with all source material.
  • MDC sends the client a Scope of Work which defines the work to be completed and the total cost. MDC commences site development once client agrees with the Scope, and when all source material is received.
  • MDC develops a draft site for review by the client.
  • MDC makes requested changes and the client site is finalized.
  • Once final, a domain name (e.g., www.mainstreetpeds.com ) is selected for the site and the site is launched.

MDC works quickly to complete client sites, and the entire process requires a minimal amount of time from your medical practice.
